As many of you know, I have been fighting cervical cancer since my diagnosis in September 2008. It has been a challenging year, to say the least. But I am feeling strong and putting up a pretty good fight.

I have met so many amazing people who are also fighting cancer at radiation therapy appointments and in the chemotherapy infusion clinic. At first I couldn't believe how many people would walk in and out of the radiation waiting area while I was waiting for my appointments. Most of them look like regular people you pass every day on the street. You would never suspect they were fighting cancer. After talking to many of you, I hear about family and friends of yours who are also battling this disease. It seems that all of us are touched by cancer in some way.

The Lynne Cohen Foundation raises money for research in ovarian and breast cancers. Please help support the efforts of this foundation by sponsoring me as I participate in the 8th Annual Kickin' Cancer 5K. Any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
